What ran in 2026

  • Valentine’s Day Family Crafternoon, Sewell Mill Library. The East Cobb branch at 2051 Lower Roswell Road held a free, drop-in hour of Valentine crafts for families with children 3 to 12 from 4 to 5 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 12, 2026, with no registration (2026 library listing). The library posts its February programs on the county events calendar a few weeks ahead.
  • Valentine’s Dance, Kennesaw. Kennesaw Parks & Recreation held a family Valentine’s Dance with dinner and entertainment from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 13, 2026, at the Ben Robertson Community Center’s banquet hall. Tickets were $18 a person, in advance only (city of Kennesaw). The 2027 date is not out yet.

Date ideas near East Cobb

  • A show at the Strand. The Earl and Rachel Smith Strand Theatre, 117 N. Park Square on Marietta Square, is a nonprofit theater with live theater, films, concerts and comedy (The Strand). Its February schedule appears on its site in the winter.
  • A walk by the river. The Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area units on East Cobb’s southern edge, Johnson Ferry North, Cochran Shoals and Sope Creek, have trails along the river and through the woods. Hours, parking fees and maps are on our walking and biking trails guide.
